Terms of Trading

Right oh, here we go! Some basic rules first, if you please.
HOUSE RULES
-Every guest is allowed bring up to FIVE (5) items to the swopshop. Please don’t bring any more than that, as it will make things run awfully slowly.
- As regards clothing quality- don’t bring anything that you wouldn’t happily give to a friend. That means clothes must be clean, no rips, no tears. Also, we’re putting a ban on clothes from Penneys. Not that we don’t like Penneys, but the chances of the same thing turning up three times wouldn’t be unheard of.
- On the flipside, don’t be afraid to bring down some designer pieces (if you have them!). If you bring them, others will too. That said, a designer piece won’t net you any more tokens than a regular one. A jacket is a jacket is a jacket.
-While we encourage bartering, don’t argue. Please trust our judgement and that of others. If everyone plays by the rules, there shouldn’t be any arguing anyway.

TRADING AND TOKENS
1. Upon entering the venue, give your 5 pieces to a Rough Gem assistant. They will sort through the pieces, and assign you an appropriate amount of tokens.
Coat/Jacket= Three (3) Tokens
Shoes= Three (3) Tokens
Skirt= Two (2) Tokens
Shorts= Two (2) Tokens
Dress= Two (2) Tokens
Trousers= Two (2) Tokens
Jeans= Two (2) Tokens
Top= One (1) Token
Shirt= One (1) Token
T-shirt= One (1) Token
Accessories= One (1) Token
Tie= One (1) Token
Scarf= One (1) Token
Super. Now, who’s coming?
